June Triple Header Volunteer Event at Lost River Cave – BioBlitz, Pull, & Plant!

About the Event
Join us on Saturday, June 10 from 8 am – 12 pm or any portion of it for a partner event with Wild Ones SoKY Chapter! There will be something for everyone and every skill level.
We’ll be inventorying plants in the meadow, pulling invasive species from the surrounding area, and then reclaiming that land with native plants via planting and sowing seed. This activity is part of the ongoing effort to expand the meadow and collect data to guide its ongoing restoration plan to benefit the wildlife in this special habitat.
Volunteers will be entered into a drawing for a $20 Busy Bee Nursery and Consulting gift card provided by Wild Ones SoKY Chapter!
Wild Ones is providing snacks; water and lemonade will be available as well!
Participants conducting the BioBlitz will have a brief introduction to the native plants that have been added to the meadow since 2019. Pictures of the native species will be available to help with plant identification. This is a great opportunity to practice plant ID skills with experienced members there to help if needed.
