SOKY Educational Exhibit at Cardinal Council Flower Show

Our chapter has been invited to provide an educational exhibit at the Cardinal Council's flower show

Exhibit 2: "Healing the Earth, One Yard at a Time" – Tips and techniques for landscaping with native plants in your own yard, thus making your land a haven for wildlife and contributing to the effort to create a Homegrown National Park. Presented by the Southern Kentucky Chapter of Wild Ones.

WHERE: L & N Depot Historic Railpark, 401 Kentucky Street in Bowling Green, KY 42101.
SETUP: June 14 from 9-11AM
PUBLIC WELCOME: June 15 from 1-6:00 pm.
TAKEDOWN: June 15 starting at 6.

RULES

Educational exhibits must instruct and promote the goals and objectives of National Garden Club.
Educational exhibits may be the work of more than one individual or organization unless a student judge or an accredited judge is seeking exhibiting credit for preparing an educational exhibit.
An exhibit must occupy a minimum of eighteen (18) square feet of surface area. Exhibits will be displayed on a 72” round table covered with black cloths provided by the show committee.
This competitive division is judged by the Educational Exhibits Scale of Points (HB p. 130) and below and is eligible for the NGC Education Award.
Exhibits should convey educational facts quickly and persuasively in an interesting manner.
Exhibits should be unique, dramatic, colorful easy-to-read and include feature/s that attract and hold viewer attention.
Handout materials add to educational value but are not required.
Each part of the exhibit should contribute to distinctive overall effect.
Plant material is not required, although it is encouraged where appropriate. No artificial plant material is permitted.
