About the Event

Join a fun group of volunteers on Saturday, April 27th from 8 am–12 pm (or any portion of) for the first of three annual plant inventories of the Meadow Restoration Project. We will inventory native plants that will be currently in bloom in the meadow to help chart the path for its ongoing restoration.

Participants of all skill levels and experience are encouraged to attend!  Printed paper guides and/or the iNaturalist phone app will provide all the tools you need. To use the electronic aid, download and set up the iNaturalist app before you arrive.

What is a BioBlitz? It’s an inventory of living things. Our BioBlitz will check for the presence of native flowers, sedges, and grasses that have been planted in the meadow. The area is gridded off to make it easier to keep track of it all. This activity is part of the ongoing effort to restore the meadow and collect data to guide its ongoing restoration plan to benefit the wildlife in this special habitat.  Please join us in this worthwhile venture.
